ALAMEDA, CALIF - JULY 14, 2022 - Next-generation battery materials company Sila has been ranked in the Top 100 Best Leadership Teams 2022: Small/Mid-Sized Companies by Comparably for the second year in a row. Ranked 8th overall, this honor places them in the top 10% of similarly sized companies on the site. This designation also marks the second award from Comparably in 2022, as Sila CEO, Gene Berdichevsky was ranked 21st in the Top 100 CEOS for Diversity 2022: Small/Mid-Sized Companies, putting him in the top 5% of all CEOs from June 2021, to June 2022, and is Berdichevsky’s second inclusion on the list.

“At Sila, we believe that innovation is an outcome of having diverse, ambitious teams take on challenges together and amply each other’s talents,” said Gene Berdichevsky, CEO and Co-Founder of Sila. “When you pair that with an experienced leadership team that knows how to find, motivate, and grow talent, you have the elements needed for a successful culture and business. We’re fortunate to be in that position right now.”

Comparably’s survey of Silazens revealed that Sila was given an A in culture score, receiving 4.6/5 stars in their employee ratings and reviews. The site also shows CEO Gene Berdichevsky secured a 91/100 rating based on employee reviews, placing him in the top 5% of all CEOs of similar-sized companies surveyed.

The Best Leadership Teams award is based on anonymous employee rankings of executive leadership teams and direct managers based on the past 12 months (June 2021 to June 2022). This award recognizes leadership teams that are effective in inspiring positive, collective work, and individual growth. The rankings list was separated into two categories: large companies with more than 500 employees, and small/mid-sized companies with less than 500 employees. The final list was compiled from over 15 million rankings across 70,000 U.S. companies.

The Comparably Awards were developed to evaluate and celebrate outstanding companies and leaders across a number of different award categories guided by employee feedback. The Comparably Awards also differ from most other “best of” lists because it segments its survey responses by demographics, to ensure that awards represent the perspectives of a diverse base of employees.
