Who You Are
Our fast-paced production environment leverages modern technologies to drive efficiency and precision. To meet growing demand, we are hiring multiple Operators that are motivated with a strong attention to detail and a passion for manufacturing.
Our Production Operators are critical team members responsible for the hands-on operation, monitoring, and maintenance of equipment in our manufacturing environment. This role is vital to ensuring our production processes run efficiently while meeting strict quality and safety standards. Ideal candidates are reliable, mechanically inclined, and capable of adapting to the dynamic needs of a modern production line.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Set up, operate, and adjust manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Continuously monitor machine performance and production outputs to ensure smooth operations
- Load raw materials into equipment, manage in-process inventory, and ensure proper storage and staging of materials
- Perform routine checks to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications, promptly addressing any deviations
- Identify and resolve minor machine issues or process bottlenecks, escalating complex problems to maintenance teams
- Accurately record production data, including quantities, downtimes, and quality checks, using digital or paper logs
- Conduct basic preventive maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating machinery, to ensure optimal performance
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety drills
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Assist with line changeovers, equipment calibration, and training of new team members as needed
- Comfortable working in a shift-based system, including weekends and overtime as required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or prior manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex equipment.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing workflows, quality control practices, and safety standards.
- Familiarity with tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment used in a production environment.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, such as production schedules, work orders, and SOPs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a high-volume production setting.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time
- Able to occasionally kneel or bend
- Pass a respirator fit test and be able to wear respiratory protection when required
- Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, and safety shoes
The starting base pay for these roles is between $26/hr and $52/hr at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, and equity. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for overtime.
